Tips for at home

The musicians we like to see on Festival Dag in the Branding are at home but still working. All kinds of new music is made and presented online. We have listed a number of tips for you.

Composer Yannis Kyriakides will receive the Johan Wagenaar Prijs 2020 during our festival in December. Friday May 1st Tomoko Mukaiyama played the Dutch premiere of his piece La Mode in an empty Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ with a great visual show by Reinier van Brummelen. Check it out!

From her living room, Saskia Lankhoorn played a new composition by Calliope Tsoupaki, especially for the tv program Podium Witteman on Sunday March 29. Watch the broadcast here.

Oerknal shares new music almost daily via their Facebook page. For example, they recently played the new piece Avalon Orchard by composer Eva-Maria Houben from the living room. The complete 20-minute recording can be found here on YouTube.
