Meet Julian Maple-Oliveira

Artist-in-residence at Festival Dag in de Branding. On Saturday 21 May he will present his new composition in collaboration with. New European Ensemble and soprano Gita Rebeka. In this video he tells more about his work.

Brazilian composer Julian Maple-Oliveira, who studied not only composition but also sonology, loves alternative and complex pop music. He has now bundled all these interests into an experimental song cycle for soprano, acoustic instruments (played by the members of the New European Ensemble) and self-built electromechanical instruments.
