The program opens with the playful piece Poème Symphonique by György Ligeti, composed for one hundred metronomes ticking away at their own pace until silence. This musical installation serves as the central starting point of the evening. In contrast and continuation, the program features works that creatively expand on the theme of “one hundred,” with the ensemble’s eight members engaged in inventive and playful ways. Featuring compositions by Richard Ayers, Mayke Nas, Huba de Graaff, Jasper de Bock, and Alex Kordzaia.
