The lauded, semi-improvised movement opera ‘Of Leonardo da Vinci’ explores the universality of death and rebirth by melding vocal improvisation, sound art, image and movement. Soloist Elaine Mitchener and director Dam Van Huynh collaborate to develop David Toop’s music and libretto, with film by Barry Lewis. Together they push the boundaries of opera, testing emotional extremes both vocally and physically, drawing audiences into a unique, intimate realm of disturbing beauty.
