With her colourful musical palette, Icelandic composer Anna Thorvaldsdottir (1977) creates a rich ecosystem of sounds in which the listener can wander around endlessly without ever feeling lost. The way she plays with time and space is alienating and comforting at the same time.
Alongside two of her earlier pieces (Ró and Fields), the New European Ensemble plays the world premiere of a piece which Thorvaldsdottir wrote especially for the ensemble.
