In 1948, Ton de Leeuw set his piano concerto to one side in order to further his musical education in Paris. He never resumed work on it. The score was rediscovered recently and was handed to the famous pianist Ralph van Raat. He was so wild about the piece that we simply had to put on the premiere of this hitherto unheard work.
