With Concert in the Dark, all the lights in Korzo’s Main Hall are switched off and a musician performs an entire programme in the dark, without the use of sheet music. Live music thus becomes a much more intense listening experience for both you and the musician. Suddenly, you hear nuances in the music that you might otherwise have missed. This year, trombonist Sebastian Kemner – winner of the 2023 Dutch Music Prize – takes you on an experience of collective focus, connection and complete immersion in the here and now.
The pieces Sebastian will perform for us will be announced on this page soon. Knowing Sebastian, he will in any case introduce you to the versatility of the trombone.
