Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir
The Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir is often mentioned in the same breath as the music of Arvo Pärt and other Baltic composers. Recently, the ensemble gave an outstanding performance in a concert celebrating Pärt’s 90th birthday. This time, the choir shows a different side of itself, with gems from the Western choral repertoire: Frank Martin’s magnificent Mass for Double Choir and Luciano Berio’s virtuosic Cries of London. Naturally, Arvo Pärt and his Baltic colleagues are also represented in this programme.
