Gubaidulina wrote Musical Toys – 14 short pieces for children – when she was 38. It is the answer to the question what she herself would have liked to play when she was a child.

This eclectic collection holds many treats for the receptive listener as it varies in styles as well as pianistic technique, with several surprise appearances of other instruments.

The 14 pieces are played by the Young Talent Class of the Royal Conservatoire. A concert played for and by children, but adults are also more than welcome to attend.
